Examples of several concept maps that were assigned to my KCKCC Introductory Biology class in the Fall semester, 2009. Students were given a list of 25 terms describing gamete production, genetics and evolutionary processes and directed to build concept maps linking the terms in a conceptually relevant way. They worked in teams of 2 or 3 and, as you can see, came up with a variety of approaches, most of which were very well constructed.
