Recommendation for Lu Guan
 
It is with great pleasure that I offer this recommendation for Lu 
Guan. I have had the opportunity to work with her for the last year
through UMKC's international internship program. She was assigned 
to me last September and we have met many times over the past nine 
months. The purpose of the program is to provide exposure to the 
business world for international students but Lu went much beyond 
this in her work with me. 
 
Lu is a designer and is working on her degree in computer 
applications to design. Her efforts on my behalf have centered on
 developing a website for our company and her work has been spectacular.
 This assignment has been especially challenging as we have been in the
 development stage ourselves and our needs have changed dramatically from
 month to month. She has kept up with all these shifts.
 
Lu is a very articulate and expressive woman. She understands the 
Needs expressed even when the person expressing them isn't clear. She is
 very professional in her demeanor and in her work. She also brings a deep
 understanding of the cultural differences between China and the U.S. and
 is able to bridge that gap for people. She is very outgoing and friendly 
and is very easy to work alongside.
 
I have absolutely no doubt that her internship with your organization 
will be mutually beneficial. She will bring much to you and I think you 
will provide much in return to her.
